Question: Can you select a good cream for my skin? I don’t know what my skin type is. How can I know that? Answer: If you are unsure about your skin type, you first need to do a consultation. At Spa Ceylon we provide free skincare consultations, where you can speak to our wellness experts to get the best advice for your skin. How to identify your skin type: Next, to identify your skin type, you need to do a skin test. Wash your face with a Face Wash before bedtime, and leave face without products overnight. In the morning, take a tissue and press onto your skin and observe. If you see oil patches, you have oily skin. But if only your T-Zone is oily, you have combination skin. If the tissue falls off your face, dry skin is what you have, while red or pink areas around your cheek and nose area would mean you have sensitive skin. If there are wrinkles, and fine lines on your face, you have mature skin. Finally, if your skin is slightly damp and looks fresh, after the skin test, you have hydrated and healthy normal skin. How to select a Day Cream to suit your skin type: After identifying your skin type, you can start using a day cream that is suitable for you. If you are using any product for the first time, we always recommend that you first do a patch test.
